DONNA WRIGHT

Picture

I am a native Californian, born in San Francisco and educated in the Bay Area from elementary school to the institutions I attended for higher learning.  I received my advanced education at Diablo Valley College, San Francisco State University, and the University of San Francisco.  At DVC I received my general education, at S.F. State I studied foreign languages and music, and at USF I majored in Organizational Behavior which involves the study of psychology and sociology and their relationship to management and communication within an organization.

Professionally, I worked 3 years as an Executive Secretary for a Stocks and Bonds Manager in San Francisco, retired from that position when my son was born and became a “domestic goddess” for approximately 10 years.  In 1980 I reentered the work force by developing a multi-age level care facility school (preschool through middle school) which provides services to all ages and grade levels of children prior to high school.

In 1992 I began thinking of making some changes in my professional life.  Because of my personal experience with entertainers through my husband, a professional musician for the past 35 years, and my passionate interest in the arts, I was drawn to look in that direction for fulfillment.  I am currently a certified member of the Board of Directors of the Western Division of the National Conference of Personal Managers and have been actively working in the entertainment industry as personal manager since June of 1993.

I am a member of Soroptimist International and have served as a Commissioner for my local Arts Council.  I was the Bay Area Regional Manager for National Dance Week, and am on the Board of Directors for Playhouse West.  I have always been involved in presenting the  performing arts to my local community.  As a personal manager I am broadening my scope and  involving myself in the presentation of the arts to a larger audience.
